Solution

 

Worked with client to create a long-term financial plan to achieve goals. Plan covered multiple aspects, including transitioning from a traditional stock/bond portfolio to a sophisticated custom-built portfolio utilizing alternative investments.  Plan included broad-based diversification and utilization of lower correlated investments to reduce volatility and increase return potential. Portfolio was designed to provide a mix of capital preservation and growth to fund life goals and leave a legacy for future generations.

 

Sourced new borrowing facility to create flexibility in balance sheet to fund short-term unique opportunities in private equity business.  Line of credit offered flexibility to achieve better acquisition pricing on private equity opportunities without having to pull from investment portfolio.

 

Utilized Toro West relationships to create a professional team to support growing personal and business balance sheet, including (1) new CPA capable of growing with client and business long-term, and (2) new tax and estate planning attorney to maximize planning opportunities for expected upcoming liquidity events.
